Are you looking for freelance work? Are you hoping to earn a side income but not sure where to look?
Working as a freelancer is very appealing to most people. You can fit your work around your lifestyle, pick and choose jobs you want and ultimately be your own boss.
But finding regular freelance gigs can be a challenge and often puts people off.
But, there’s plenty of work out there if you know where to look.
In this article, we’ll share the three best places to find freelancer jobs online. By discovering these we hope you’ll find some jobs on them to suit you.
Read on for more information.
We’ll start off with one of the biggest websites on which to pick up freelancing jobs-Fiverr.
Fiverr was designed to make it easy for clients to find and hire freelancers. It’s now one of the biggest freelance marketplaces and a gig is bought every four seconds.
The concept was to charge $5 for your services, but, you can in fact charge a lot more.
You can sign up for free and then create a profile to showcase your skills. Once completed, people can find and hire you for work. After you have finished the job and the client is satisfied, you receive 80% of the profit.
Second, on our list is Upwork which is the result of a merger between Elance and oDesk.
Once again it’s free to create a profile and you’re encouraged to include your skills and an up-to-date portfolio.
On Upwork, clients will post job listings of what work they need doing and what they’re looking for in a freelancer. Then if you feel you have the skillset, you can submit a proposal to take on the job.
The client can then review your proposal, check out your portfolio, and decide whether they want to hire you.
Last on our list is TopTal which focuses on more experienced and established freelancers.
On here, you can be paid anywhere from $50 to $250 per hour so it can be very lucrative. However, the vetting process is more thorough and you’ll be required to sit an interview.
Jobs posted on Toptal are usually aimed at finance and software development as well. But, if you fit into this category, you can soon be picking up well-paid gigs in no time.
