The app likely does not count or factor in the amount of messages you send or receive, or the stories you watch. Regardless of all the complex calculations and the meanings behind the score, there is no actual purpose behind it. How Can You Hide Snapchat Score?

Okay, so this is where the bad news lies; you can’t hide your Snapchat score. Everyone in your friends’ list, people that you follow, can see your Snapchat score and there is nothing you can do about it. Similarly, no one else can do anything about hiding their own Snapchat scores either. There is no way that you can reset your score or change it manually either. The only way to change your score is by changing your snapping habits; you will have to be more active on Snapchat if you want to increase your score and vice versa.
If you still want someone to not be able to see your score, there is only one thing you can do; unfollow them. You can simply remove that person from your list of friends so that they are no longer able to see your snaps and your Snapchat score. However, there is a catch; you won’t be able to see their snaps either. So, only go for this option if you think hiding your score is truly worth it.
If you don’t want to completely remove someone from your Snapchat life, you can do one more thing; edit your settings to receive private snaps from anyone. Once you unfollow someone, they can no longer send you snaps unless you have this setting turned on. You have to be careful though; turning this setting on means that anyone can send you snaps regardless of whether you know them or not. This means that old friends or exes that you unfollowed and no longer want updates on can send you snaps as well. If you’re okay with that and still want to follow through with changing the settings, then you can follow the procedure below to do so:
- Turn on your phone and open the Snapchat app.
- If you aren’t logged in, log in now with your username and your password.
- Next, tap on the tiny ghost icon or your bitmoji on the main Snapchat camera screen. This will open the Snapchat menu.
- Now, tap on the cog icon to go to the Settings menu.
- Scroll down until you reach “Who can…” and tap on the “Who Can Contact Me” option.
- Finally, tap on the option that says “Everyone”.
